uPic is a free app that allows users to find nearby photographers to take photos on-demand. In addition, users can swap roles in the app and become the photographer for hire and earn cash in a few taps.

There’s no solution to getting great photos taken in under an hour without asking a stranger or paying a professional photographer hundreds of dollars for just a few pics. We want the service to grow globally by empowering anyone with an iPhone to work for uPic.

We are launching the beta version first in the US and testing select markets as we grow and improve the experience.  We are currently servicing the Los Angeles, CA market.

Simply open the app, tap ‘Get Pics’ and nearby uPic photographers will appear on the built in map much like when you order an Uber.

Click on the uPic icons to view photographers in your area and their photo portfolios. Select your photographer of choice and once they ‘Accept Gig’, they’ll meet you to take your pics.

Anyone with an iPhone can work for uPic. You don’t have to be a professional photographer or own expensive equipment.
